Yes, there are, On the scale of Litigation on one side and Mediation on the other extreme, there could be options, such as Negotiations, Arbitration, etc.

Alternate dispute resolution is not only faster, cheaper but more importantly the dispute resolution isn’t a "zero Sum game" but a win-win.
Wherever there are two persons or point of views, there is bound to be challenges and disputes. Lets not attempt to reduce the disputes per se, however use conflicts to challenge conventions and an aid in development.
