What roots are you planting for the new decade?
That was the question asked at my last discussion meeting. For me that’s three things: unity, inspiration and foundations.
I want to create more unity within my community and that starts from building unity with those in my Buddhist community. If I can create more unity of purpose there, I can definitely create more harmony in my workplace. I also want to cement a closer relationship with my family and friends. This unity however starts with me feeling unity within myself, through my thoughts, words and actions.
Towards the end of 2018 I realised that inspiring people must be part of my mission in this world. That’s what led to the creation of Myoho.co.uk. I have plans for this decade which include meetups, programme ideas and products with the overall aim to inspire people.
This one may be a bit vague, but for me it means setting out this year how I plan to carry on over the next decade and beyond. This involves gearing me up to transition to a three day working week. It seems impossible now, but that’s my aim so that I can focus on my creative ideas, spend more time with friends and family and have time for a family of my own if that is what I decide.
So, over to you; what roots are you planting for the new decade?
