You can't be half pregnant

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine gave me some unexpected words of wisdom. We were chatting and in relation to my efforts to chant he said: "you can't be half pregnant". In other words, either I'm practising Buddhism or I'm not.

My practice has been all over the place for the past couple of months, hence why I'm doing the 0,1,2,3 campaign. There were times when I'd just do a super fast gongyo and no daimoku but in the back of my mind knowing how better my day would be if I exerted myself more and really went for it and chanted, even for 30 mins at least. I was practising but barely. Seeing as no-one can be half pregnant, I'm choosing to go all in with my daimoku from now on.
